Junior, Novice & Veteran Squads
We have junior, novice and veteran squads, with new starters ranging from 15-19, 20’s, 30’s and 40’s.  So whether your just looking for fun with a casual commitment or your aiming for Henley and the National Championships, we can accommodate you. Regardless of your ability, everyone gets to row and has the opportunity to compete.
Men’s Squad
The Loughborough Boat club is actively seeking individuals to form part of the next men’s elite squad. Loughborough’s top racing crews are expected to compete at the highest level, therefore candidates should be ideally between 18 and 30, physical fit and have the necessary enthusiasm and commitment to complete the required training. In return we’ll give you coaching, competition and a rich social life.  Please note that an existing ability to row is not a prerequisite.  To arrange tuition contact Men’s Coach Marcus Joy.
Ladies Squad
Loughborough Boat Club this year again proved the strength of its women’s squad with some excellent performances at Henley Women’s and Royal Regattas, in addition to a large number of  impressive wins at the best of the National competitions.  The training is intensive as would be expected of such a high performing squad.  To arrange tuition contact  Women’s Head Coach George Jones.
Training
Land based winter training will be conducted on Tuesdays 6.30pm (Men) & 7.30 pm (Ladies), Thursdays 6.30 pm (Ladies) 7.30pm (Men). Team water based training occurs Tuesday/Thursday evenings, and 8.00am to 1.00 pm Saturday/Sunday mornings.  In addition, early morning and evening sculling/ergo sessions are typically scheduled Monday-Thursday.
Please Note, as a club we accommodate both the serious and casual rower, catering for all abilities.
