Loughborough Boat Club
The Loughborough Boat Club has been at its present location since 1964. There are three buildings; Boathouse, Training Room including changing rooms, and Function Room with Bar and Members Lounge. Below is a view from the river of the Boathouse.
Loughborough Boat Club enjoys the following facilities modern changing rooms with hot and cold showering, toilets, disabled toilets and wash facilities. Easy access ramps front and rear, ample parking for both trailers and cars, double water front boat access to river, state of the art gym, bar-be-cue (for hire) and bar.
Club times are Tuesday and Thursday evening and Saturday and Sunday during the day. The club is accessible for land training and water training during other times, please contact the Captain or a member of the club for information. The Club also competes at Regattas and Head races during the year and has a trailer to transport boats around the country.
The general bar is available for hire and will adequately seat 60. It is here that the annual Christmas dinner is held, when our rowers change guise and become our resident band. (Fortunately Loughborough Boat Club can boast an array of musical talent).
Every year the Club holds its own Summer Ball on the Club site. This requires all the boats to be removed from the Club House and the room is transformed into an indoor marquee. This room can be hired out for large events.
