The successful combination of Keith Hudson and Oliver Kortlang remained unstoppable at Bewdley Regatta, beating old rivals Northwich in the 800m final of the Veteran B Double Sculls by 2 lengths. They then went gain victories the following day in the 600m sprint. In two hard fought races they had to dig deep to come through from behind, snatching the victory from their astonished rivals in two of the most exciting and close run races of the day, winning by two feet against Warwick in the final of the Senior 2 Double Sculls, and a foot against Weybridge in the final of the Veteran B Double Sculls. Loughborough's Oliver Kortlang and Owen lent their power to Northwich's Eight, allowing them to bring home victories in the finals of both the Senior 2 and Senior 3 Eights.
