Loughborough Boat Club
The
Club’s men’s squad achieved more wins at Northwich Sprint Regatta, achieving
a triple success when they won at three Double Sculls events with Junior member
James Lane
and the Novice Double of Ed Moss and John Sutton gaining their first ever
sculling wins.
Lane
paired up with Club Captain Keith Hudson in the Senior 3 Double Sculls. They won
through against opposition from Trent then Weybridge to face home club Northwich
in the final. A win never looked in doubt and they had a 2 length lead by the
finishing line.
Hudson
won again in the Senior 2 event, this time doubled up with Oliver Kortlang and
again meeting a Northwich crew in the final. A one and a half length lead
assured them of victory. The Novice Double put in an impressive performance to
win their semi-final against Weybridge by 2 lengths then won the final against
Liverpool
Victoria
by three lengths.
