Loughborough Boat Club
Loughborough's new combination Lee Garratt and Simon Hill proved a winning success at Burton Regatta.
They managed to maintain an early lead over rivals Warrington during a long and hard fought race, pulling away in the finish to win by 3½ lengths. They then went on to an impressive 6 length victory over Burton Leander in the final of the 1100m Novice Double Sculls.
Simon Hill went on to make it a double in the Novice Single Sculls, wining easily against Derby.
In a harder fought race against Trent, Neil Martin, Keith Hudson, Andy Martin and James Lane held on to win by a canvas in the Senior 3 Quad Sculls.
